This is a common site in my client's showers, tubs and sinks. They use trash cans and buckets to collect warm-up water that they then carry outside to irrigate plants and gardens. Who knew there was a entire underground movement of eco-warriors carting water, day after day, working to conserve even a few gallons of our most precious resource. Bravo to you all.

Catching rain water in 5 gallon buckets and then carrying each bucket to fill all these trashcans, warrior Sue will be retired of this heroic task. By installing a new rain catchment system water will be stored and used to water an orchard of citrus, stone fruit and fig along with a small vineyard on her wholstically integrated two acre site. |
CandaceWhere I live, San Diego, our community imports 85% of its water. This blog is a place for Water Warriors to post their strategies, systems, new ideas for conserving water. If we all work to conserve water, we can create a more sustainable future for our children and all life in our beautiful bio region. Archives
